One Card a Day..

Post  flame on 7/9/2009, 7:03 pm

hey Rose, I am trying to learn the cards by drawing just one a day to see what the day brings..I either ask a specific question or just draw on general principles..

my card today told me to wait patiently for my answer..

waiting.

I really want to take my cards out of the package but I think I should read the instructions first before letting Storm play poker with them. Laughing

If you get any interesting answers at any point, post them on a thread so I can see how it works.

I sent you an e-mail saying I have 2 books to finish reading, then Tarot is next.

yeah, clear out any remaining books before you tackle Tarot..it looks easy but can actually get complicated..

I got so much stuff I'm in the middle of, it will be this winter before I can settle down and get to learning..for now, the one card a day will do..

Exactly what I was thinking, I might have to put some time into the Tarot and don't want other books pulling at me. So when everything is cleared, I'll read the small Tarot book *then* open the cards, so I'm not tempted to play solitare. tongue

and here tis!

I asked what I should study as I haven't narrowed down my interests yet..I think Tarot can be kind of vague sometimes..

but that deck I used is really purty..

That doesn't seem right.
I think that calls for another kind of deck and another kind of spread.

If I don't like the answer with one deck, I keep trying others until I get a good answer.

Phew, I opened my new Tarot deck and do they stink! My eyes were watering and I got a sore throat. They're sitting in the other room now, airing out. When they decide to behave themselves, I'll pull out the book and see what I can come up with.

Much stronger than that, lol.

But they've been sitting spread out for a couple days and the outgassing seems to be helping.

Maybe I should have checked with you before buying cards? It's the Rider Wait or something deck, the basic one.

I checked today... The cards were made in Italy. You'd think they'd smell like olive oil and goat's milk.

Hey, maybe they're from the basement of the Vatican, where all the top secret psychic/spiritual secrets are kept.

I don't know how large the lunatic fringe is around here, but maybe I could make more money with gas-mask readings. lol!

I started the book Tarot for Dummies today.

I'm on page 4.

I'm hoping to finish the book within a week or so, then start playing around with the cards. They should be done outgassing by then. geek
